NFF Chuffed with the Scrapping of the Carbon Tax

In a press release by the National Farmers Federation today:

Carbon tax flow-on costs hit Australian farmers every time they paid for essential electricity, fertiliser, chemical and fuel supplies.” (Emphasis mine.)

Thanks, NFF, for pointing out the fact that the production of fertilisers and farming chemicals is carbon intensive.

    • YES! The “best” solution would cost nothing at all. We would all, collectively and rationally, take responsibility for our actions and stop consuming the way we do. The people would be genuinely powerful again. If we need to consume something and it is produced in a carbon-intensive manner we would reject it and thus force manufacturers to produce their products in a way that satisfies us and is good for the planet.
